August 29, 2018 – Los Angeles – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is proud to announce that more than 35 of its clubs will participate in qualifying for the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Mass United FC, Florida Soccer Soldiers, Dallas Elite FC, Colorado Rush SC, Boise FC Cutthroats, Sporting AZ FC, Santa Ana Winds FC and many others will compete in Qualifying Round 1 for the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, scheduled for Sept. 22-23.
United Premier Soccer League Commissioner Yan Skwara said, "The UPSL has the largest contingency of teams entering the 2019 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifying rounds out of any amateur league in the United States, which is a testament to our continued collection of top-tier pro development clubs. We wish all our UPSL clubs the best of success in the qualifiers that kick off later this month."
Games will be played all over the country, with 10 all-UPSL matchups highlighting the schedule. There were eight all-UPSL matchups on the opening rounds in last year's tournament.

United Premier Soccer League
The UPSL was formed in 2011 and currently includes more than 200 teams in Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wisconsin. UPSL is the fastest growing Pro Development League in the USA, with 300-plus teams targeted for 2018 Fall Season. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining either UPSL Pro Premier Division or Championship Division minimum standards.
UPSL teams are all eligible to participate in the U.S. Open Cup Qualifying Rounds through the leagues affiliation with the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) and the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).
